I developed "The Mirror Rule" to assist primarily young people to see through the false premises put forth by popular culture, idealogues, peer pressure and the like. It will redirect them on a path to think for themselves and ultimately outside themselves. We choose our destinies based on our belief systems. If yours isn't working for you, simply change it. It's only a belief. Your mind is like a computer. If you program yourself with positive information, positive things will happen. Conversely if you program yourself with negative information, that's what you'll get. The answer is easier than you think. I have been blessed to discover "A Course in Miracles". It is a life altering read. I did'nt have the insights this incredible text has shown to me when I originally authoed this work so I am adapting "The Mirror Rule" to express its important precepts. Each of us, as human beings, knows instinctively what is right and what is wrong. The Mirror Rule exposes the false premises or "conventional wisdoms" that permit us to excuse our bad behavior and feel justified in doing so. In short, we are in a culture war and you are the casualties. You must learn to ask yourself whether the convential wisdom of the day serves you well. Are the assumptions they are based on valid or is there another agenda at play? You must strengthen your critical analysis skills to help you challenge these conventional wisdoms, see through them and discover "The Mirror Rule"- to see yourself in others and therefore be more understanding, compassionate, and forgiving. It's the only way to be at peace with yourself and the world. To draw on "A Course in Miracles" we are all cells in the body of Christ. We are all divine and must look past our imperfections to see the divine light in each of us. We must truly forgive ourselves and others for real healing to begin. Let us begin on that journey.
